This postcard by Abraham Mondría captures the contrast between the monumentality of the façade of the Valencia Central Market and daily life in the surrounding streets. A Valencian modernist-style building that was finished in 1928. A temple of commerce that houses 1,200 stalls selling all kinds of food such as fish, shellfish, fruits, spices, meats, and sausages, among others, both for domestic consumption enough to supply important restaurants in Valencia, with which it is crowned as the largest fresh produce market in Europe.
Printed at La Imprenta CG, in Valencia, on 320-gram graphic cardboard.
Printed back to write and send. Measurements: 11 x 16 cm.
